Rachel Dispenza is a stand-up comic who has performed all over the US, including as an opener for comics Emma Willmann and Myq Kaplan and the bands Sleater-Kinney and Mannequin Pussy. They can be seen regularly all over Chicago, where they live and produce the show Nervous Laughter.

He has performed at the Lincoln Lodge, Zanies, Laugh Factory, and Don’t Tell Chicago and several comedy festivals, including Loveland Comedy Festival, Middleground Comedy Festival, Omaha Comedy Festival, Sixth City Comedy Festival, Sunshine City Comedy Festival, and Tower City Comedy Festival.

Our featured performer for July 23 is Deanna Ortiz. Voted Best Standup in The Chicago Reader’s 3 years in a row, and named one of Time Out’s Comics To Watch in 2025, Deanna Ortiz's first special ‘I’m Being Nice’ was released on Amazon Prime, and her debut solo show ‘Funny Slut’ was chosen as a Steppenwolf 2026 Lookout selection. She has worked as a contributing writer for NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, and has been featured in Vulture, WGN News, FOX Good Day Chicago, Taskmaster LIVE, and TimeOut Chicago.

Malt Row is one of the most prolific craft brewing communities in the country – and it’s right here in Ravenswood! Each year, we celebrate this cultural ferment with Ravenswood On Tap, a two-day outdoor festival that is all about local.
Enjoy beers from Malt Row breweries, KOVAL Distillery cocktails, special tappings, and live music from an incredible roster of original, independent Chicago musicians and, for the first time, comedians! HACC is proud to bring a lineup of some of Chicago’s best comics to Ravenswood for this festival.
There’ll be delicious street food, local artists and artisans, mini golf, swordplay demos, and more!
Ravenswood On Tap is open on Saturday, July 18 (12-10pm) and Sunday, July 19 (12-8pm). Be there or be square!

Join us on Sunday, May 17th for the kickoff of Health Alliance for Chicago Comedians, the only HACC you’ll want to support. HACC is a new organization, fiscally sponsored by Comedy Gives Back, dedicated to reducing barriers to accessing health services for Chicago comedians.
