HACC is launching its healthcare fund in the fall of 2026. In the meantime, there are emergency and other short-term resources available to comics from great organizations in Chicago and beyond.
Comedy Gives Back is a national 501(c)3, non-profit organization that provides grants to stand-up comedians experiencing a financial crisis, or in need of mental health or chemical dependency treatment.

Equal Hope provides free breast and reproductive cancer services and resources to uninsured and underinsured people in need.
They provide:
Free breast and cervical cancer screenings
Free breast and gynecological patient navigation
Free primary care for uninsured residents
Complimentary transportation to medical appointments
Assistance in overcoming barriers to care
Health education and community engagement initiatives
Since its founding in 1882, the Entertainment Community Fund has helped address the specific needs of entertainment professionals—with a unique understanding of the challenges involved with a life in the arts, and with the knowledge of what it takes to thrive in an often unpredictable industry.
While the Entertainment Community Fund is a national organization, it does have a Chicago office and a dedicated team to assist Chicago-area entertainers.

Founded in 1987, Season of Concern is dedicated to providing financial assistance to Chicagoland theater workers—union or not, onstage and off—impacted by medical conditions that prevent them from working or other emergency situations.
