Comedy Gives Back is a national 501(c)3, non-profit organization that provides grants to stand-up comedians experiencing a financial crisis, or in need of mental health or chemical dependency treatment.

Since its founding in 1882, the Entertainment Community Fund has helped address the specific needs of entertainment professionals—with a unique understanding of the challenges involved with a life in the arts, and with the knowledge of what it takes to thrive in an often unpredictable industry.
While the Entertainment Community Fund is a national organization, it does have a Chicago office and a dedicated team to assist Chicago-area entertainers.

Founded in 1987, Season of Concern is dedicated to providing financial assistance to Chicagoland theater workers—union or not, onstage and off—impacted by medical conditions that prevent them from working or other emergency situations. SOC provides short-term emergency financial assistance through The Biscotto-Miller Fund and The Malcolm Ewen Emergency Fund. seasonofconcern.org
